Accessibility statement

This site is built and tested to WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

What that standard covers

WCAG 2.2 Level AA sets measurable requirements for how a page must work for people using a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader instead of a screen, magnification, or a browser with its own colors and text sizes. In practice, on this site, that means:

  • Text and interface colors meet the required contrast against their background.
  • Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, in an order that matches the page, with a focus outline that stays visible.
  • Headings, lists, landmarks and labels describe the page structure to assistive technology rather than only looking like structure.
  • Motion only adds emphasis and is never required to understand anything. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animation on this site does not run.
  • Text can be resized and the layout reflows without losing content.

How it is tested

Contrast is checked automatically on every change before it goes live: a change that breaks it is caught instead of reaching this page. Markup is checked by accessibility linting in the same step.

Automated tooling catches only part of the accessibility problems a page can have. The rest has to be done by a person: moving through the page on a keyboard, following the focus order, and listening to it with a screen reader. We check keyboard use and focus order by hand. Screen-reader testing is next, and we would rather say so plainly than imply the automation is enough.

Known limitations

Third-party embedded content — booking calendars, chat widgets, payment forms — is supplied by vendors and is outside our control. We can choose whether to use it and how to present it; we cannot fix its internals.

The chat window on our home page is third-party software supplied by our messaging platform. We have not yet confirmed that it works fully with a keyboard and a screen reader. The phone number and email below reach the same people, so nobody depends on the chat window to reach us.

If something here does not work for you

Tell us and we will fix it. That is the whole process — you do not need to identify the guideline or explain the technology.

It helps if you can say which page you were on and what happened, but say as much or as little as you like. If you tell us what you were trying to do, we will make sure you get it done while the page itself is being repaired.

Scope of this statement

This statement covers Rocky Mountain Automation AI LLC’s own website. It does not cover websites we build for clients — each of those carries its own statement — and it is not a legal certification: no business can certify its own compliance. It is a description of what we build to, what we test, and what we know we have not covered.
